I heard it had a guitar solo. I refuse to listen to it and verify that.

It does.

This doesn't sound much like what I remember of their old stuff. Actually I think they've managed to get even worse.

How can they get worse when they are as worse as they come.

Better get warmed up!

Limp Bizkit are back, they back in the game
Musical ineptness and lyrical pain
Pumping sounds that cause grown men shame
On the face of music like a port-wine stain

There's totally going to be talk of a Nu-Metal revival what with Korn touring as well. Brace yourselves, guys.

They've been doing that. Crazytown reunited too.

I was actually into new metal. The scene was so vapid and talent defunct that I seriously doubt anyone will listen to a band like Crossbreed the second time around. The only really good New Metal bands were the ones that got forced into that genre by the label.

I dunno the answer to that question but there were and still are some good nu metal bands despite the general shittiness of the genre. But those bands were hard to pigeonhole into one genre anyway. Dir en Grey and Maximum the Hormone come to mind.

I didn't ask that question because I think every single nu metal band was shitty, there are indeed some good bands out there. My question was directed at the "the best new metal bands were the ones forced into that genre by the label" part. I was wondering which bands were, according to Adveser, forced into playing nu metal AND we're better than other bands who played nu metal by their own decision.

Dope, for one followed absolutely none of Edsel's Motley Crue-esque influences on the first album. Once the genre was dying down around late 2001 he was free to make party music.

If this is gonna turn into every New Metal band sucks thread, then I'm not even gonna argue that point. Just like no matter how good someone claims a hip hop or country album is I will still think it sucks.

Well, I didn't ask the question to start an arguement about it. It was more out of curiosity since I couldn't think of a band that would fit your description.
I used to like Dope when I was 12. Now I can only stand them at parties when I'm really drunk. But that's probably the audience they're aiming for.

are you comparing Nile to Limp Bizkit!?!!! Shame on you, are you aware of how bad it makes Limp Bizkit look?

Thanks for clueing me into your bizarre anti-Nile fetish. Hah, God Dethroned's latest better? Your metal opinion is now almost as irrelevant to me as DW's!

ouch

Probably the number one band for this was actually Static-X actually. I agree with you about Dope though. I still love the band, but not near as much as I do after some heavy drinking.

Korn and Limp Bizkit are just two defecated peas floating in samr the diarrhoea splattered toilet bowl.

I actually tried listening to this shit when it was coming out. I listened to Korn 3 times and managed to get a headache every time.

I then went back to Proper Metal and have been happy ever since.

I'm sure I said that back when we were fighting, DW.

\You did say I wasn't a true fan of metal in the Coroner and Opeth poll. I must have been thinking of that when I 'ouched' you.
