Red Faction was awesome, but the sequel was crap. The interactive environments were the drawing point to what turned out to be a genuinely good game and story, then they just dropped both of those elements and tossed you into some poorly designed levels and hoped to excite you with the action of FPS shooting, oh wow.

That was the point.

The first Red Faction was uneven. It kinda felt like they were trying for a new renaissance in FPS games, but it didn't catch on. Some good parts, but it was overall a tad plodding and irritating. Gunplay was fun, though.

Red Faction II is the equivalent of an 80's action movie. It's meant to be enjoyed entirely on that level, the level of you that just likes to blow shit up. That doesn't make it worse than its predecessor, just a different sort of FPS, kind of like how Silent Hill 2 compares to Silent Hill 3.

I guess I wasn't in that mood when I rented it then, hah. I just really loved the first one, granted that was years ago and memory probably does it a lot of favors, but I do have fond memories of blowing holes in stuff and being a rebel miner guy. I could probably enjoy 2 if I wasn't looking for something else while playing it.

Yeah, so here's what you do: Get a copy for like 3.99, then tear out the cover and replace it with a pencil drawing that looks like it was done in three minutes by a six-year-old with autistic tendencies. In shaky script write out 'Commies Die' for the title atop the whole thing, then blot out the top of the disc itself with black magic marker.

You'll enjoy it more, I promise.

Hahahaha, sounds like a plan.

I liked Red Faction 2. I never finished the first one due to a terrible calamity with some coffee

Red Faction 2's save files aren't that big. Personally i like Red Faction 2 better, as in its more my type of shooting game. The first one had alot of stealth and stuff like that, but the second one was more run 'n' gun. i just like blowing shit up! :D

I think the latest album is ok. It's generally better than Iowa, but the self titled still kicks ass:)
I liked the couple of slow songs, but i wished they would have more agressive songs...

If you want aggressive, Mr. Copy, I suggest picking up some Bloodbath. That way, you'll have your aggression, but blissfully free of suck at the same time.

Lamb Of God's earlier albums (yes, BTP included) are monumentally aggressive.
