Hey guys, I'm looking for some melodic or really emotive post hardcore in the vein of Defeater, Touche Amore, and Have Heart. Anything that sounds like any of those bands is fine, thanks for your help.

Interesting. I thought all core things were shit. Defeater is appealing to my ears.

Pretty much any genre is shit if you don't scratch the surface.

Steve, you're probably the last person I would pick to make this thread.

Frenchie's recommendations are basically flawless. ATDI and Gospel are MANDATORY. Fall of Troy is real good but not really in the same vein as the others. However, you might like them anyways as they are awesome. You might also check out Trophy Scars (older stuff, like Alphabet. Alphabets. New stuff is amazin too but they're gradually changing into a blues-rock band with post-hardocre-ish sounds)

Young Widows - In And Out Of Youth And Lightness, less hardcore-y than others listed but fucking amazing.

If that's all the wit you have to contribute to this thread, you'd better stay away from it.

Are you offering to buy me one? It'd make a great coffee coaster!

You are right, there is a thread here. *Looks at Stefan's recommendations* I'm not the most versed in or the biggest fan of this kind of music, but I do enjoy much of Fugazi's material in the right mood, so I'll second that recommendation.
