This album is awesome. Definitely their best to date. Basically it takes the best parts of AOBU and makes an album of it. This needs to be reviewed and given proper attention.

It was ok. A lot faster than their last album, but by now they've done just about all they can do.

These guys have always been at the head of the metalcore pack imo (I don't count Converge as metalcore before someone yells at me for that) though I think I'm just burnt out on this style of music. I used to dig this band a lot though.

Their earlier stuff is pretty good.

A lot of the newer stuff makes me laugh, because it's the generic harsh verse/clean chorus sort of thing, and not all that interesting.

This. They went from having something sort of personal going on their first couple albums but the last release was uber generic and lacked anything that I personally felt was interesting.

I still have to listen to some new tracks, maybe I'll go to their Myspace but this Pensees Nocturnes CD is so good. :P

I bought this CD, and i've been trying really hard to like it because i was really into them a while back. But their music is boring and mundane now and i just can't get into it.

Listened to a few songs pretty meh. Miss Shadows are Security style.

It doesn't seem like they're really doing much on this album that separates them from most of the other metalcore bands out there, which is unfortunate.

Kinda like Unearth they're sort of just piddling along when I think they could be offering more.

I'll probs download this. I'm 100% aware that these guys aren't making that great of music, but An Ocean Between Us has got to be one of my most-listened extreme metal albums of the past year or so. I don't know why--in my mind, I know other bands make better music, but these guys just do what they do so well...even if what they do isn't that impressive. So I'll get this--that first song posted is perty awesome.
