A what I call a thrudge band. A combination of thrash and sludge.

Corrosion of Conformity 'Blind'? Maybe Lair of the Minotaur, that was a wikipedia description but a good band.

You know, thinking about it, some of the modern Death/Thrash bands have sludgy moments. Even Lamb Of God have a bit of Nawleans in them.

Birds of Prey are pretty good thrash sludge.

Lair of the Minotaur are the only band that instantly springs to mind for me.

I've only heard Sulfur and Semen, but its an awesome album.

i'm enjoying this band minus their fascination with mongoloids.

definitely check out Sulfur and Semen over their first album, Weight of the Wound.
