MAX And IGOR CAVALERA To Enter Studio In July

According to Brazil's Bizz magazine, the as-yet-unnamed new project featuring SEPULTURA founding members and brothers Max and Igor Cavalera will enter a Los Angeles studio in July to begin recording its debut album for a late 2007/early 2008 release via Roadrunner Records. Although it has not yet been confirmed, it is rumored that production duties on the CD will be handled by former MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader, who worked with SOULFLY on their cover of
NEVERMORE Frontman To Begin Recording Solo Debut In August

NEVERMORE frontman Warrel Dane is scheduled to enter the studio in early August to begin recording his solo debut, tentatively due in early 2008. "As of now I have written about eight [tracks] together [with Dane], and Warrel is also collaborating with Matt Wicklund [ex-HIMSA guitarist] for a few songs," former SOILWORK guitarist-turned-producer Peter Wichers says.

MOONSPELL To Re-Record Early Material

Portuguese metallers MOONSPELL will enter the studio in early July to record a very special project. The recording sessions will be held at the Denmark's Antfarm Studios with Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILLITY, ROB HALFORD) co-producing with the band. Oidium Publishing will release the third annual "Wacken - Metal Dream Girls Calendar" on July 1. Check out sample photos from the calendar at this location.

SAHG To Release New Album In October

Norwegian heavy rockers SAHG, who feature in their ranks members of GORGOROTH, MANNGARD and AUDREY HORNE, have issued the following update:

"The second SAHG album is set for an October release [via Regain Records]. The specific date is not confirmed yet, but will be shortly. The band has completed the material, and will re-enter the studio within the next few weeks to complete the recordings. More news on this coming shortly."

SAHG is being assisted in the studio by Brynjulv Guddal, who is doing triple duty as drummer, engineer and co-producer.

Imhotep: It will be seven concerts this year?

Demonaz: "Yes.

Imhotep: After that, what's next?

Demonaz: "Studio album. Abbath and I are working with the material. Abbath has also started to rehearse the songs with Horgh."

Imhotep: Appolyon, is he stand-in?

Anneke van Giersbergen, singer for world-renowned Dutch rock act THE GATHERING, has decided to pursue new goals in life and music.
