GRAVE Prepares To Record New Album

Long-running Swedish death metallers GRAVE have issued the following update:

"We are currently working on material for our upcoming eighth studio album. The writing process has been going very good the past month and we already have some songs in the final stages. Reunited CARCASS Confirmed For Next Year's WACKEN OPEN AIR Festival

Reactivated British extreme legends CARCASS have been confirmed for next year's installment of the Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place July 31 - August 2, 2008 in Wacken, Germany. Also scheduled to appear are IRON MAIDEN (headliners), CHILDREN OF BODOM, AVANTASIA, KREATOR and SONATA ARCTICA.

BIOMECHANICAL Recruits Former DRAGONFORCE Bassist

U.K. epic thrash metallers BIOMECHANICAL have announced the addition of bassist Adrian Lambert (SON OF SCIENCE, ex-DRAGONFORCE, INTENSE) to the group's ranks. "His fast and furious bass style is exactly what the band was looking for!" BIOMECHANICAL said in a statement.

BIOMECHANICAL will release its new album, "Cannibalised", on February 11, 2008 through Earache Records.

GAMMA RAY Signs With STEAMHAMMER/SPV

German power metallers GAMMA RAY have inked a deal with Steamhammer/SPV. The group's new album, "Land of the Free II" (cover artwork), is scheduled for release in Europe on November 19 (November 16 in Germany). The CD will arrive in the U.S. in January.

It's Official: LED ZEPPELIN To Reunite For London Concert

The surviving members of LED ZEPPELIN have confirmed they will reform for a special show at London's 22,000-capacity O2 arena on Monday, November 26 as part of a tribute to Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun, who died last December.

Tickets cost £125 each (approximately $254) and will be allocated on a lottery basis through the AhmetTribute.com web site. Names will be chosen at random. There will be seating and standing tickets and fans will be able to express a preference at the web site.

Due to expected unprecedented demand, tickets will be limited to two per successful applicants per household.

According to the amended complaint filed by MÖTLEY CRÜE against artist manager Carl Stubner and his three companies Sanctuary Group, Inc., Sanctuary Artist Management, Inc. and Carl Stubner Productions, Inc., drummer Tommy Lee "recently informed [bassist Nikki] Sixx and [guitarist Mick] Mars, the shareholders of MCI [Motley Crue, Inc.], that he was resigning from the band and his resignation was accepted."

Trans-Siberian Orchestra tour dates posted

Yes folks....it's time to think about that time of the year again. Trans-Siberian Orchestra is hitting the road for their annual Christmas tour beginning Nov. 1st in Youngstown, Ohio and continuing through to January 6th in Green Bay WI. Besides the U.S. dates, confirmed shows in Canada include Hamilton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver. As usual, 2 versions of the band will cover East and West coast dates simultaneously.
