AC/DC Die-Hards 'Leak' New Song On Air Guitar

According to News.com.au, die-hard AC/DC fans have sunk to a hilarious new low in rock and roll fandom.

Fans who attended a film clip shoot in London last week were among the first in the world to hear AC/DC's new single "Rock 'N Roll Train", and, instead of leaking an unauthorized recording, have set about recreating it themselves on YouTube.

One video shows a fan dressed as Brian Johnson singing "Rock N Roll Train" in his bedroom. Another clip features a fan "singing" the song's main guitar riff in a series of "nah, nah, nah" noise ...
SANCTITY Lands New Singer

North Carolina thrashers SANCTITY — who recently parted ways with Jared MacEachern (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Derek Anderson (bass) "for personal reasons" — have issued the following update:

"We will hopefully be announcing our new singer soon. I cant give you a name or hints yet, but we have not been [so] happy in a long time. He is a sick-ass singer as well as a person. We are going into Audiohammer studios [in Sanford, Florida] in September to record some new shit, and as soon as we have it so will you."

WASTEFALL Calls It Quits

Greek progressive act WASTEFALL has announced its decision to disband. The group's official statement on the matter reads as follows:

"The band's situation has not been really good the past few months, since Alexander [Katsiyiannis; guitar] was studying in Crete (island of Greece) far away from Athens. We did renew our contract with Intromental Management this year and after this we have had the opportunity to play at ProgPower Scandinavia in October 2008. According to a posting on UK singer Blaze Bayley's (ex-IRON MAIDEN, WOLFSBANE) official web site, Blaze's wife/manager Debbie "is in critical condition in hospital following a dual brain hemorrhage last week and has not regained consciousness." Blaze's bandmates write, "Understandably, Blaze will be staying at bedside for the time being and we as a band are not prepared to put ourselves too far from her under these circumstances. SEPULTURA Completes Recording New Album

Brazilian thrashers SEPULTURA entered the studio last month to begin recording their new album, which is based on the Anthony Burgess novel "A Clockwork Orange" (later turned into the classic film by Stanley Kubrick). Bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. has issued the following update: "Tonight [June 27] is basically our last day of recording of the new material for the new album!!! So far we're very happy with the results!!! AMON AMARTH: New Album Title Revealed

Swedish Viking metallers AMON AMARTH have set "Twilight of the Thundergod" as the title of their seventh full-length album, due this fall via Metal Blade Records. The CD title was revealed by AMON AMARTH frontman Johan Hegg during an interview with the "Tinitus" radio show, which airs on Norway's P3.

"Twilight of the Thundergod" was recorded at Fascination Street Studio in Örebro, Sweden and will include such songtitles as "Guardians of Asgaard", "Live for the Kill" and "Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags".
