Plans for a new studio album with the original lineup have been put on hold indefinitely as Ozzy prepares to promote his forthcoming solo album "Down To Earth" - it is rumored that the band is reconsidering the idea so as not to tarnish their legacy - in the meantime, plans for a live album recorded during the band's heyday have also been put on hold due to label complications.

Elektra Records has recalled copies of 'Live Scenes From New York' which features artwork portraying the New York skyline and World Trade Center perched upon an apple and engulfed in flames - coincidently, the album was released the same day as the Trade Tower attack - the 3 CD set will be re-released as soon as possible with a new cover on which the flaming apple / skyline will be replaced with a golden Dream Theater logo.

The artist's next project will not be an Ayreon album, but a solo album based on space movies that he has been influenced by - vocal contributions will be made by Dan Swano (Edge of Sanity, etc.), Damian Wilson (Threshold, Ayreon), Russell Allen (Symphony X, Ayreon), and Floor Jansen (After Forever, Ayreon) - additional musicians said to be involved are keyboardists Jens Johansson (Yngwie Malmsteen, Dio, Stratovarius) and Erik Norlander (Lana Lane, Ayreon) and drummer Ed Warby (Gorefest, Ayreon).

Keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater) was on board for the recent South American tour - he reports that when Yngwie began to play the "Star Spangled Banner" at the show in Porte Allegre, Brazil, the crowd started booing and throwing stuff on stage - at the end of the show, a disheartened Sherinian refused to go back out for an encore, so Yngwie went out to play the "Star Spangled Banner" again then grabbed the microphone and said, "God Bless America, and FUCK YOU ALL"
