The Gathering

The Gathering are proud to announce their new mini CD Black Light District will have an official internet release at June 17. Please note this will be an internet release only at the first place. The band is working on the Psychonaut homepage right now. From this page you can order a copy of this mini CD. More details about this soon. Black Light District contains 4 songs, Debris, Broken Glass (piano reprise), Black Light District, and a yet to be titled 4th song. The CD will have some multimedia, like some new Rockumentaries footage about the making of Black Light District and the new, yet to be titled full length album, which will be out in oktober 2002.

Amorphis

Amorphis' drummer Pekka Kasari leaves the band due to family commitments. The rest of the band wishes all the best for Pekka in the future. "New" drummer announced is Jan Rechberger who played on Privilege of Evil, The Karelian Isthmus & Tales from the Thousand Lakes is back on drums. The band is currently working on new material with Jan.

At the moment the band is in the middle of writing new material for their upcomming album, set to be recorded in August at Berno Studios, Malmoe, Sweden. As of yet the album has no title.

Dimmu Borgir on DVD

The new Dimmu Borgir DVD is titled World Misanthropy. Expect a releasedate on May 6. This material of 2 DVD contains live recordings from the 2001/2002 Dimmu Borgir World Tour ! In addition there are clips from working in the studio, interviews, behind the scenes and more. A special CD including Japanese bonus-tracks and live materials is included in the limited edition.

Theatre of Tragedy

The new EP "Let You Down" is delayed until the end of may, possibly the 27th ! The EP will come in a digipak version. Unfortunately this release is for the Norwegian territory only. This is beyond Theatre of Tragedy's control. However, the band will try to offer the EP for sale through the website as soon as possible!

The EP will contain the following songs :

1. Let You Down (Rico Darum & Superdead Remix. Both ex- Apoptygma Berzerk. A heavy as hell dancefloor remix!)
2. Let You Down (Album Version)
3. You Keep Me Hangin' On (Unreleased re-rendition of the old Supremes/Kim Wilde classic for the "Assembly" recording sessions)
4. Universal Race (Man-i-kin Remix. An industrial/psytrance/electrocrash version of the Goth/punk/metal song from "Assembly")
5. Envision (Conetik Remix. A mellow and relaxing version in the Underworld landscape!)

Metal in Salt Lake City

Both KISS and Bon Jovi performed on the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. KISS did perform "Rock'N'Roll All Nite..." and party everyday !!! yeeeeeeah :). Bon Jovi did a couple of songs including their excellent tune "It's My Life"...

Who's knows, maybe Rhapsody will play in next Winter games' ceremony in Torino (Italy) :) ... lol.
