Primal Fear and Symphony X members form new project

Bassist Mat Sinner (Primal Fear, Sinner) has joined joined forces with Russell Allen (Symphony X, Adrenaline Mob) in a brand new project. The as-yet-unnamed group is currently recording its debut album for an early 2013 release via Frontiers Records. The CD is being produced by Sinner and will be mixed by Achim Köhler, who has previously worked with Primal Fear, Amon Amarth and Brainstorm, among many others. Eleven tracks were written for the effort, which will feature guest appearances by Roland Grapow (guitar; Masterplan, Helloween), Randy Black (drums; Primal Fear), Alessandro Del Vecchio (keyboards, vocals) and Alexander Beyrodt (guitar; Primal Fear, Voodoo Circle).

Anaal Nathrakh reveal new album details

Candlelight Records has set a November 6 North American release date for Vanitas, the new album from England's Anaal Nathrakh. October 15 had already been announced as the European release date. Produced by Mick Kenney (Bleeding Through, Ingested), the CD carries the band's signature and regarded union of black metal and grindcore. Anaal Nathrakh will tour Canada for the first time just as Vanitas is released. Beginning in Montreal on November 7, the tour will end in Sherbrooke on November 18. The Acacia Strain release new lyric video

The track comes off the band's new album, Death Is the Only Mortal, which will be released on October 9 via Rise Records. The CD was produced by guitarist Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz at his Western Massachusetts studio.

Klone reveal details for new album

Poitiers, France-based progressive metallers Klone will release their fifth full-length album, The Dreamer's Hideaway, on October 5 via Klonosphere Records. The CD was recorded at La Fusée Des Resistants studios and was mixed and mastered by Franck Hueso, who has previously worked with such acts as Hacride and Deathspell Omega. Kamelot: Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife) two-minute sample available for streaming.

A two-minute audio sample of Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife), the new single from American/German/Swedish symphonic metallers Kamelot, can be streamed below. The track, which is now available on iTunes, comes off the band's new album, Silverthorn, due on October 30 in North America, October 26 in Germany and October 29 in the rest of Europe via Steamhammer/SPV. The CD will mark the band's first release with new singer Tommy Karevik, the 30-year-old Swede who previously fronted Seventh Wonder (a group that he is still a member of). The Sword announces U.S. headlining tour

Austin, Texas metal luminaries The Sword will release their fourth album, Apocryphon, on October 22 in the U.S. via Razor & Tie and November 2 in Europe through Napalm Records. The CD was produced and engineered by J. Robbins (Clutch, Jawbox) at Magpie Cage Studios and will feature cover art by famed comic book artist J.H. Williams III (Batwoman, Promethea). The Sword has announced a 37-date U.S. tour, commencing October 29 in Corpus Christi, Texas and running through December 18. Hide in the Fairytale, the new video from Athens, Georgia-based melodic metallers Theocracy, can be seen below. The clip was recorded in Orlando, Florida under the watchful eye of producer Dan Drescher. Hide in the Fairytale comes off Theocracy's latest album, As the World Bleeds, which was released in November via Ulterium Records (Europe) and Nightmare Records (North America). Lamb of God announces Fall U.S. Tour with In Flames

After a successful reunion with singer Randy Blythe at the two Knotfest shows in mid-August, Richmond, Virginia metallers Lamb of God have announced a 38-date fall U.S tour starting October 30 in Phoenix, Arizona. Joining Lamb of God as direct support for the entire tour is In Flames. Hatebreed will be joining the package from October 30 until November 19, at which point Hellyeah will replace them for the remainder of the shows. British band Sylosis will open all dates.
