ANGRA Singer Checks In From The Recording Studio

ANGRA vocalist Edu Falaschi has posted the following update on the band's official web site:

"As announced, we are currently recording ANGRA's new studio album. [Drummer] Aquiles has already finished his parts and they kick ass. However, I'll talk a little bit about the pre-production of the album.

"The rehearsals began in early November. We listened to the songs and decided which of them would eventually appear in the record. In the end, eleven songs were chosen and rehearsed. After a month or so of rehearsals, producer Dennis Ward [SILENT FORCE, PINK CREAM 69] arrived in Brazil [from Germany] to get acquainted with the songs. ...

Stratovarius announces female singer!

Finland's Stratovarius have announced the addition of a new singer and drummer to the group's ranks. The following is the band's official statement on the matter:

"New vocalist for Stratovarius is called 'Miss K'.

"The vocal talents of this sultry Finnish lady vary from raunchy rock to classical operatic. Her voice range is over 3 octaves and she is capable of transforming Stratovarius sound to something unique, something that has never been heard in Metal before.

A "secret" EDGUY show has been announced for January 21 or 22 in Cologne, Germany. The exact date of the show is expected to be announced later today at the group's official web site.
