Sentenced News: No New Album Until 2005
15 Feb 2004
Finland's SENTENCED have announced plans to play a few European festivals during the summer, including Summer Breeze, which is set to take place August 19-12, 2004 in Abtsgmünd, Germany.
"We will throw in some brand-new stuff during our show this summer, because we don't want to play a 'best of SENTENCED' kind of set this time around. That would be too boring," drummer Vesa Ranta said. The band are currently writing and rehearsing the new material. "We haven't worked on too many new songs yet as a band, but I know that Miika [Tenkula, guitarist], Sami [Lopakka, guitarist] and Ville [Laihiala, singer] hav ... |

A late summer release through Sanctuary Records is expected.
In other news, Mustaine recently addressed the reasons for MEGADETH' ... |
DARK TRANQUILLITY To Enter Studio Next Week
15 Feb 2004
Sweden's DARK TRANQUILLITY have posted the following message on their official web site:
"Next week, we'll embark to the familiar quarters of Studio Fredman to begin the recording of our seventh, as-yet-untitled, full length album. We're been working extremely hard with the material and feel that the result will be a diverse and exciting offering that will leave most of our current fans more than satisfied. Of course, this is what all bands say, so you'll have to wait a couple of months until you're able to hear for yourselves. No release date is set yet, but it's realistic to assume that the CD will be out either shortly before or shortly after the summer. "As mentioned, no album title has been decided yet, but some tentative song titles are 'One Thought' (previewed on our recent Italian tour), 'Lost To Apathy' and 'Mind Matters'."
