ANNIHILATOR: New Members Announced

Long-running Canadian thrashers ANNIHILATOR have announced the addition of bassist Sandor de Bretan and drummer Rob Falzano to the group's ranks. Bretan hails from Waters' hometown of Ottawa Canada, while Falzano, a Boston native, came recommended to Water by "All For You" studio drummer Mike Mangini, who was also Falzano's teacher. Mangini will also be "guesting" at some future shows with the band.

PARADISE LOST Part Ways With Drummer LEE MORRIS

PARADISE LOST have parted ways with drummer Lee Morris due to "personal and musical differences." No replacement has been named as yet, although the new album will continue to be recorded as previously planned. "We are sorry to see Lee go, and wish him all the best for the future," the band said in a statement. Therion presents two new albums

The new Therion albums are called Sirius B and Lemuria and will be released the 24th of May, 2004. They will be relesed as two separate albums, but during a period of two months, there will be a double release available, so that people can get them both for more or less half the price. SENTENCED Frontman To Take Over Vocal Duties In POISONBLACK

SENTENCED frontman Ville Laihiala has taken over the lead vocal duties in his side-project POISONBLACK following the departure of CHARON singer Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto.
Laihiala's decision to handle the vocals himself comes less than a month after reports surfaced that the group's new singer would be a Canadian vocalist whose name had never been officially revealed. TWISTED SISTER Enter Studio To Re-Record 'Stay Hungry'

TWISTED SISTER have entered the studio to begin re-recording their classic 1984 effort "Stay Hungry" for a late 2004 release through an as-yet-undisclosed label. "We have the capability to make the world's first re-recorded record the way it should have been," the group's manager, Daniel Stanton of Coallier Entertainment Ltd., stated. " 'Stay Hungry' will be that record. Better than it was before. Better- stronger- faster. As they guys finish laying down all the drums and bass for the entire 'Stay Hungry' record and more songs to boot, guitar tracks are being set for this weekend, then vocals... The rebuilding of this record will make history!"
In other news, TWISTED SISTER have announced plans to hit a number of European countries later in the year, including Spain, Italy, U.K., Hungary, Holland and Germany. In addition, they will be traveling to Brazil and Canada, with more U.S. dates soon to be announced.

Swedish thrashers THE CROWN have officially split up. The following is drummer Janne Saarenpää's statement on the matter: "We give up. Today, the 7th of March 2004, we, the dudes of THE CROWN, have decided to call it quits. Borknagar: new album details

The new album will be realeased in June or July 2004. Epic features 12 new
Songs, including one instrumental track, and promises not to disappoint anyone who
is into this fantastic Norwegian band. Vocals once more were done by exceptionally
gifted singer Vintersorg, who released another solo album through Napalm Records
a couple of weeks ago. The band parted ways with bass player Tyr in a friendly
manner before recording his parts of the album. All bass parts were done by drummer
Asgeir Mickelson. Last weekend the band entered the studio to start the mix of
Epic.

JERRY CANTRELL Calls ALICE IN CHAINS Reunion 'Imminent'

Ex-ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell has confirmed to Launch Radio Networks that he recently jammed separately with his former bandmates, bassist Mike Inez and drummer Sean Kinney.
Although all three have not played together in the same room yet, Cantrell told Launch that he feels confident some sort of reunion will happen.
