Jamie Gumbrecht of The Dallas Morning News is reporting that an arrest warrant for misdemeanor assault was issued for MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil Wednesday (Dec. 15) in connection with a beating at Gilley's Dallas in October. If convicted, Neil faces up to one year in jail and a fine of $4,000.

Legendary Norwegian black metal band DARKTHRONE, nominated last Wednesday in the "Metal" category for the highly coveted Norwegian Alarm Awards, have now been removed from the list of nominees.

Nuclear Blast Records has set an April 11, 2005 tentative European release date for the new MESHUGGAH studio album, "Catch 33".

None of the other Damageplan bandmembers were hurt in the Columbus, Ohio shooting incident that resulted in the death of the group's guitarist, Dimebag Darrell, a source close to the band has confirmed to BLABBERMOUTH.NET. At least three people died and four others were wounded after a shooting at a Columbus nightclub on Wednesday night, NBC 4 reported. The shooting took place shortly after 10 p.m. at Alrosa Villa, located at 5055 Sinclair Road. Two members of the heavy metal band Damageplan were shot and killed, including Dimebag Darrell, formerly with the band Pantera, NBC 4's David Wayne reported.
