Landmine Marathon parts ways with singer, announces replacement.

Landmine Marathon have parted ways with vocalist Grace Perry and have replaced her with Krysta Martinez (of Portland's Transient). Commented the band: "This summer, Grace decided to leave the band to pursue non-musical endeavors. We are grateful for all of her contributions to Landmine Marathon and wish her nothing but future successes." Added Martinez: "I'm stoked to be creating music with Landmine Marathon and look forward to hitting the road with them in coming months. Grace is an amazing vocalist, and filling her shoes is a great challenge. Things have been incredibly enjoyable so far and the best is surely yet to come." A new version of the Landmine Marathon song Dead Horses, featuring vocals by Krysta Martinez, can be streamed here.

Holy Grail release cover art for upcoming album

Southern California traditional metallers Holy Grail will release their sophomore album, Ride the Void, in Europe on January 18, 2013 via Nuclear Blast Records and in North America on January 22, 2013 through Prosthetic Records. The effort will be made available as a limited CD version including a bonus track, a black 2LP version and a strictly limited clear 2LP version. The cover artwork can be seen here.

Suffocation frontman to sit out most shows in support of new album

Jo Schüftan of Horns Up Rocks! conducted an interview with vocalist Frank Mullen of New York death metal veterans Suffocation prior to the band's October 21 concert at Club Revolution in Amityville, New York. Asked about Suffocation's touring plans in support of the band's upcoming album, Mullen said, "I can't really tour full time anymore. So when the album comes out, they'll probably set up about a month-[long] tour, or something like that, in the States. I'll only do about two weeks of it. There'll be a fill-in singer [doing the rest of the shows]. And then I'll probably do maybe a week, or a week and a half, over in Europe, and then any other touring they do f ... |

New Bullet for My Valentine song available for streaming

Temper Temper, the new single from Welsh metallers Bullet for My Valentine, can be streamed here. The track will be released on November 25 in the U.K. and October 30 in the rest of the world across all digital providers. Temper Temper comes off Bullet for My Valentine as-yet-untitled fourth album, which is due out in early 2013. The CD was once again produced by Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Good Charlotte), who worked on the group's last LP, 2010's Fever, and was mixed by noted engineer Chris Lord-Alge (Deftones, Nickelback, Avenged Sevenfold).

Civil War release details for debut EP

The debut EP from Civil War — the new Swedish metal band featuring former Sabaton members Rikard Sundén (guitar), Daniel Mullback (drums), Daniel Mÿhr (keyboards) and Oskar Montelius (guitar) alongside singer Patrik Johansson (Astral Doors, Lion's Share) and bassist Stefan "Pizza" Eriksson (Volturyon) — will be released on November 13 via Despotz Records.

Saturnus release new album details

Danish melodic doom metal masters Saturnus will release their new album, Saturn in Ascension, on November 30 via Cyclone Empire. The CD was produced by Flemming Rasmussen, who has previously worked with Metallica, Morbid Angel and Blind Guardian, among others. The artwork for the effort, which can be seen here, was created by Frode Sylthe of Friction.com (At the Gates, Napalm Death, The Haunted). A bonus track, Limbs of Crystal Clear (a remastered demo recording from 1994), will be included on the limited first edition digipack and the limited double LP.
