OLD MAN'S CHILD Completes Work On New Album

Norwegian melodic black metal masters OLD MAN'S CHILD will release a new studio album in early 2009 via Century Media Records. The band, which is led by guitarist/vocalist Galder (also in DIMMU BORGIR), has just returned from a trip to Gothenburg, Sweden, where it spent several weeks laying down the new unholy compositions at Studio Fredman with producer Fredrik Nordström (DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY, IN FLAMES, etc.), who had previously worked with the band on the "In Defiance Of Existence" (2003) and "Vermin" (2005) albums.

"Ministry Of Saints", the new video from the German melodic metal band EDGUY, can be viewed below. The clip was shot in Belgrade, Serbia. The song comes off the group's new album, "Tinnitus Sanctus", which is scheduled for release in Europe on November 14 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD, which will be issued in North America in early 2009, was recorded at Gate Studios in Wolfsburg, Germany with producer Sascha Paeth.

Tampa, Florida-based death metal veterans CANNIBAL CORPSE have set "Evisceration Plague" as the title of their new album due on February 3, 2009 via Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Kill" was produced by Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL, MORBID ANGEL) at his Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida.

German power metallers PRIMAL FEAR have set "16.6" as the working title of the follow-up to last year's "New Religion" album. The CD will be recorded in November/December 2008 for a tentative early 2009 release via Frontiers Records.
Commented the band: "The pre-production for the new PRIMAL FEAR recordings is close to be finished and the studio and crew are finally booked. Ohio's sons of Midwestern darkness SKELETONWITCH have announce the addition of bassist Evan Linger to the group's ranks. Linger, a longtime friend of the band, entered the fold after the departure of Eric Harris. Evan has been out with the 'WITCH since October 2 when the pre-DANZIG dates kicked off.
