IMMORTAL: New Album Track Listing Revealed

Norwegian black metallers IMMORTAL have finalized the track listing for their new album, "All Shall Fall", tentatively due in the fall via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Grieghallen and Abyss studios in Norway and Sweden, respectively.

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN has inked a deal with Season Of Mist Records. The band's fourth studio album will be released in early 2010 in collaboration with the band's brand new label, Phonogetic Records.

Legendary Chicago doomsters TROUBLE are hard at work on material for the band's long-awaited new album, "The Dark Riff", tentatively due later in the year. The group states, "Everything is moving along nicely in the writing stage. Bruce [Franklin; guitar] and Rick [Wartell; guitar] have brought some massive, killer riffs to the sessions that are sure to please ANY TROUBLE fan.

SLAYER's KERRY KING Says Forthcoming Album 'Has A Little Bit Of Everything'

California thrashers SLAYER are putting the finishing touches on their new album with producer Greg Fidelman for a late summer release via American Recordings/Sony BMG. The forthcoming CD will include the song "Psychopathy Red", which was made available as a limited-edition seven-inch vinyl disc on April 18, 2009 as part of the third annual Record Store Day.
Prior to the new album release, SLAYER will join forces with MEGADETH to perform together for the first time in more than 15 years when they co-headline four shows in Canada in late June. ARTILLERY: '10.000 Devils' Video Available

"10.000 Devils", the new video from Danish thrashers ARTILLERY, can be viewed below. The track comes off the band's forthcoming fifth album, "When Death Comes", whcih is scheduled for release in Europe on June 15 (via Metal Mind Productions), in Japan on July 23 (King Records), and in North America on August 11 (MVD). The CD was recorded at Medley Studios in Copenhagen with producer Søren Andersen (guitar player in Oliver Weers' solo band) at Medley Studios in Copenhagen.

SEPULTURA And ANGRA Perform LED ZEPPELIN Classic On Brazilian TV; Video Available

Brazilian metal bands SEPULTURA and ANGRA were the featured guests last night (Saturday, May 16) on "Altas Horas", one of the biggest shows on Brazilian television. They took part in an interview and a performance, including a rendition of the LED ZEPPELIN classic "Immigrant Song", featuring musicians from both bands.
Watch video footage of their appearance below. ANGRA ended its two-year hiatus by teaming up with metallers SEPULTURA for a massive tour of Brazil and the rest of Latin America. The trek, which kicked off on May 5 in Porto Alegre, included a May 9, 2009 stop at Via Funchal in São Paulo where the two bands joined forces on stage to play "Immigrant Song". |
KAMELOT Guitarist Discusses Upcoming Album

The official German KAMELOT fan site recently conducted an interview with the band's guitarist, Thomas Youngblood. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.
Q: KAMELOT will enter the studio in June to record the new album. Will you start recording the new songs at that point, or will you use the time in the studio to finish writing while the whole band is together? Thomas Youngblood: First we will sit down with our producers and discuss the songs, ideas, basic direction and how we want the album to sound. Then we will simultaneously work on finished songs as well finish songs that are not yet 100% complete. The overall recording process will take 3-4 months. < ... |
