The news everyone's been waiting for: Napalm recording artists LEAVES' EYES will return to North American soil this September, their first tour dates in support of latest album Njord. PRIMORDIAL: 'All Empires Fall' DVD Details Revealed

Irish pagan masters PRIMORDIAL will release their first-ever DVD, "All Empires Fall" in Europe on March 1 via Metal Blade.
Disc 1 of the two-disc set is the centrepiece of the DVD and features a full PRIMORDIAL headline show recorded live on January 24, 2009 in the band's hometown of Dublin, Ireland. The concert was filmed with five cameras and has an exceptional vintage look due to the hard work in post-production. ZYKLON Calls It Quits

After taking an offical break over two years ago, it has now become reality that Norwegian extreme metal act ZYKLON is no longer a functional band, and thus the decision was made to formaly split up the group instead of just letting it decend into nothingness.
As a final release from the band, Candlelight Records will later this year put out a ZYKLON box set, entitled "The Storm Manifesto", featuring all three of the group's full-length albums plus bonus material. ZYKLON played its final show in Tokyo, Japan on September 28, 2007. All members of ZYKLON are still active on various fronts. IRON MAIDEN Drummer Says There Are 'Eight Songs Written' For New Album

On Friday, January 1, IRON MAIDEN drummer Nicko McBrain told Eddie Trunk — co-host of the VH1 Classic television program "That Metal Show" who has a long-running radio show, "Friday Night Rocks", on New York's Q104.3 FM — that the band will enter the studio in a couple weeks to start work on a new CD. According to Trunk, Nicko "said there was about eight songs written so far so the band would probably need to come up with a few more new songs while recording. [He added that] the material was a little different than past albums and they were taking their time with the recording schedule." McBrain also stated that the "new CD probably won't come out until 2011," according to Trunk.
