DESTRUCTION Hard At Work On New Material
25 Sep 2004
Veteran German thrashers DESTRUCTION are currently
working on the material for their next studio album, tentatively due in
2005. Following the completion of the album's touring cycle, the band
plan on taking "a little creative break," according to a posting on the
group's web site. "I mean, we could go on like this forever, but it's
good to take a deep breath for another powerful twenty
years....hahaha!" DESTRUCTION bassist/vocalist Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer said in a statement. "We don't want you to get tired of the DESTRUCTION
overflow in the last years... even if we had to keep the high pace
cause we have missed nine fuckin' years getting' over the fuckin' split
and fightin' bullshit!
"We will sign a new label contract soon, also we will have a new management company workin' for us," Schmier added. DESTRUCTION have launched a poll on their official web site to determine the musical direction of the next album. "YOU are the ones that pushed DESTRUCTION to be one of the most succesfull thrash metal band in the world, so join this poll to kick even more ass in the future!" Schmier said. "You motherfuckers rule — stand up, don´t be just another face in the crowd!"
