Random scraps of metal news...
- The cover artwork for Sirenia’s forthcoming Nine Hells And A Downfall can be view at this location. The album is due on February 26, 2007 through Nuclear Blast Records.
- Maryland’s Dog Fashion Disco has decided to call it quits. An explanation can be found here in the band’s blog.
- Evergrey is preparing to begin writing for the follow-up to Monday Morning Apocalypse. The band plans to record the album in February 2007 for a May release.
- Tiamat mastermind Johan Edlund is working on a sophomore album for his industrial-tinged, goth-rock side-project Lucyfire.
- Static-X will release their new album in March 2007. The band has set Cannibal as the album title.
- A director’s cut of Jungle Rot’s “Victims Of Violence” video can be seen at this location (scroll down).
- A video clip of Obituary performing the song “On the Floor” has been posted online at YouTube.com. The track comes off the upcoming DVD, Frozen Alive (cover), due in Europe on December 11 via Metal Mind Productions and on January 16, 2007 in the US through MVD Visual.
- Demiurg, the new brutal death metal project from Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Nightingale) and Rogga Johansson (Ribspreader, Paganizer) will release their debut album, Breath Of The Demiurg, on February 23, 2007 via Mascot Records. The album is said the be “filled with brutal and extreme death metal” that “displays an evolution from old into new.”
- Magnus Karlsson has penned songs for the next Allen/Lande album, The Revenge. Recording sessions began this past August. Song titles set to appear: “Victory”, “The Revenge”, “Who Can You Trust”, “Wake Up Call”, “Gone Too Far”, and “Under The Waves”. The album will be released sometime in 2007.
