WHILE HEAVEN WEPT: Update On Upcoming Albums
27 Apr 2006
Epic doomsters While Heaven Wept have posted an album update on their forum, the message is as follows:
"The album is nearing completion.....we'll be resuming the sessions in May, and won't stop until the album is completed! The release date is uncertain, as it's primarily up to Black Lotus, but I imagine it will either be the last major release for them of this year or the first one of 2007. Believe me, once it's out, you won't miss it (massive promo campaigns are lined up everywhere). Meanwhile, there's been a demo of the title track on the myspace page for months now, and I'll be creating an "album overview" mp3 after the next sessions, with brief clips from every song. The official website has been completely redesigned and will relaunch within 2 weeks for sure. Lots of new stuff on there. We've been rehearsing the next album's material already, and will begin recording it as soon as Vast Oceans Lachrymose is done (as previously mentioned). We're also preparing a limited edition boxset for our 20th anniversary that will contain all 4 albums (including Sorrow Of The Angels and Empires re-mixed, re-mastered, with additional recording in some cases) + 2 discs of exclusive material (outtakes from all 4 album session never before released, new songs, ancient songs previously never recorded, perhaps a couple covers). The exclusive material will ONLY be available as part of the set, and the set itself will be limited to 1000-2000 copies, with 60+ page booklet. But, that's coming after Vast Oceans Lachrymose and Fear Of Infinity." As previously reported, While Heaven Wept signed with Greece's Black Lotus Records and plan to release two new albums back-to-back. As of February 2006, the first album, Vast Oceans Lachrymose, was 80% recorded and all but half of one song was written for the second release, Fear Of Infinity.
