This year you have the chance to make your metal preferences heard.

We have decided it would be really interesting to see what our dear readers thought about what the best albums of 2005 were. Here's how we'll go about it:

• In the Reviews forum we have created a sticky where you can vote for your top 5 albums in any genre.
• Under each genre forum we have created stickies where you can vote for your top 5 albums in that genre. Given some genres are fairly large, we'll probably break them down further.
• The voting will be open between December 1st and December 25th. Results will be posted shortly thereafter.
• To help us keep the score, each reader can submit, within a single post, 5 entries. Subsequent entries will be discarded.
• For the same reason, posts not containing votes will be deleted. However, there will be separate discussion thread, for each poll, to raise concerns about some entries not being within the genre, not being released in 2005, etc. We know it's hard, but let's keep the flames off :
• The posts will need to be in a special format, for example:

  1. Artist One -- Album One
  2. Artist Two -- Album Two
  3. Artist Three -- Album Three

  Notice the double dash: -- between artist and album. Please be aware we might edit your post to enforce this formatting.
• You should only enter albums whose original/first release date was in 2005.
