Album of the month

Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho has joined Impaled Nazarene (he is a mega fan of the band and he didn't miss the opportunity to join Impaled Nazarene when there were looking for a new guitarist). First song will remind you Children Of Bodom riffs, but that's more the way Alexi plays that will call you. First song (written by Alexi) is a pure black metal diamond composed of apocalyptic guitars, aggressive voice and explosive drum. I am really impressed by this song. 2'10 that seems endless. Second song is even "faster" and the voice of the singer (Mika Luttinen) is also more aggressive. Somehow, it reminds me Emperor last work (IX Equilibrium), but without this typical keyboard touch of Emperor. That's for the comparison, even though Impaled Nazarene has its own defined style and doesn't used keyboard in its music. Bombastic black metal coming out of Impaled Nazarene's guitars and at full speed ! As for the lyrics, don't search here for God or Christ salvation. Impaled Nazarene is 'evil' both musically and lyrically. Welcome to Satanic Land.
The best black metal album of the year.......so far.

Killing Songs :
All the 'bloody unholy' album !!!
