Finally a death album. Not easy to find good ones those days (less bands ? banished by other style revival ?). Nevermind. "Symbiose of Greek melodies with typical Swedish sound" That's the Holy records promotion message ! For their new album, Exhumation (Greek death metal band) decide to play a more "Swedish Death metal style". They want to compete with In Flames, Dark Tranquillity. Why not ? and also good luck....let's listen to it. Whooaaw ! I don't believe my ears. This album is fu... great. Sound is perfect (especially guitars and drums) and is totally "Swedish". Trashy riffs here and there, aggressive death voice (not too guttural, I almost understood all lyrics without the booklet). Full trash/speed metal and also very quiet moment, but the overall of this "melodic" aggression is really impressive. Ok, here at metal reviews we are Greek, but this Exhumation album reminds me the best records of In Flames. So like for Darkseed, we don't give a shit if it is not new, we just appreciate the music. Finally, let's mentioned the wonderful "cross" album published by the label (limited CD). Congratulation my dear "patriot". Na patte sto kalo ("All the best" in Greek).

Killing Songs :
Awakening, Befalling, Traumaticon, Disguised Failure (great instrumental)
