Pure heavy / trash metal. Nothing really new (maybe the voice), but quality of the songs is here and really impressive. Sometimes 'speedy', sometimes 'heavy', but never boring. 'Restless & Dead' includes melodic guitars riffs, but the overall tone definitively comes from Trash Bay Area. All Evil is my favorite one with The Reaper. Toxine' voice (what a name ?!) is a mixture of typical black metal voice and UDO ! This is where Witchery differs from all others : the marriage of trash and black (voice only) makes them sound quiet fresh. However, the overall sound could have been much better (guitars, bass and drums seems to be trapped together), but for a first album it's OK. There is no resemblance from one song to another, all have their special 'melodies', their unique 'mid tempo' riffs, their unique 'speed' part. Even some interesting effect have been including to the background voices on House Of The Raining Blood (giving the impression to listen to the devil himself).
This band is new, but the musicians aren't at all : including Patrick Jensen (ex-Seance, The Haunted), and Sharlee d'Angelo, who is knocking on bass (Mercyful Fate) !!!......Somehow it explains this quality 'trash' metal album.
