I don't really mind Attila's vox on this superior bm-classic... He sounds different than the run-of-the-mill shrieking. His vox sounds really horrible and disgusting (in kind of a good way)
But maybe it's just because I'm not that picky.

Anyway, my definate favorite black metal-album (so far).
Still haven't gotten around to that Ulver's Madrigal-album, though... Gonna keep in eye out for it.

Cool album, although I think it'd be better with different vocals. Yeah, I know some people think Attila is a legend on this record, but I respectfully disagree. His vocals keep the album from being one of my absolute favorites.

Seeing this thread bumped made me listen to this again for the first time in a long time. Some really killer Black Metal, not at all hard to see why it's a classic.

I listened to this album today to and yeah, great album.

Sometimes Atilla's vocals are spot on on this album like on Buried By Time and Dust and other times he does weird shit and I wish it was Dead singing.

It's definitely a classic but it's not a "perfect" album for me because sometimes Attilla's vocals are just a little off on some songs and I think overall it would of been a better album with Dead on it. However it definitely has it's own vibe compared to other 2nd wave Norwegian Black Metal albums because of Atilla.
