While there are many other German Power/Speed bands out there, I consider these bands to be the big three in the German Speed scene. (I purposely left out Helloween, BG, and Gamma Ray). I feel all three bands are awesome. For newer material, I think Rage and Grave Digger are superior, but for an overall awesome and consistent catelogue I think Running Wild takes the cake. Make your vote and post why.

I'm guessing you left out Helloween, Blind Guardian, and Gamma Ray for the reason that they're too big/known/whatever. I guess I could vote for Grave Digger, but it would be wrong to vote for the only band out of the three I've actually heard.

Also, Edguy could be up there, if you consider them power metal, as I do, rather than true metal or whatever else they could be. They're my personal favorite non-Hw/BG/GR band from the German power metal scene.

Rage is vastly superior, I mean Running Wild has done the same thing for the last 20 or so years and Grave Digger, come on the vocals purely suck! I also think Manni did a wrong turn when he left Rage for Grave Digger.

I must vote for Grave Digger because they are most similar to BG, which is the only German Speed Metal band I can stand.

Running Wild is the way to go. Incredibly awesome band with a mainly consistent catalogue. Plus pirates.

tough choice, I would say a 3 way tie, all 3 have released a lot of good stuff.

I have not heard anything by Running Wild or Rage, but Grave Digger is kick ass.

Now I am off to listen to the other two. (I know, I'm a noob.)

Running Wild by a longshot. It's the only one of the three that I enjoy the entire catalogue from. I don't care if it's been the same for 20 years, it's been a damn good 20 years! Plus, it's about fucking pirates, and pirates rule!
