I'm starting a petition for a review of this album. If you agree add your two cents.

You fuckers have ignored this album for far too long. I don't think I'm the only one that has noticed the complete lack of NWOBHM greatness. No Satan, no Blitzkrieg, no Raven, no Diamond Head....nothing i dont even think I saw any Venom reviews.

REVIEW COURT IN THE ACT and redeem yourselves. Too much crap gets reviewed.

Countersign. Let's acknowledge metal's roots. It was a good week for reviews, though.

Yeah. It's a genre that gets ignored all to often by metalheads ( including me! ).

Sign. This site needs a lot more NWOBHM reviews, and there's no better place to start than Satan.

Court in the Act is indeed an awesome album. I just heard it for the first time a few weeks ago.

Sign. So few people can even name a NWOBHM band aside from Maiden and Priest. Court in the Act is still one of the best albums ever and most metalheads have never even heard of it.

But i think the lack of NWOBM and THRASH its also because not many users are interested in it,i mean when Cody start requesting bands to review, many people including me, sugested Agent Orange, and when it finally got reviewed (thanks Cody),it had very little replies, and it didnt made it to classics, and you know i really didnt need it the review, i had known for many years the greatness of that album, i only thought that it would be nice to discuss it with some of the metalheads of this site, that must be so frustrating to Cody you know, people told him to make a review,he delivered it, and no one cared, and i fear that the same thing would hapen to Court In The Act-

I'm not as big a fan of Satan as some of you, though I've grown to like them more lately, but I definitely agree that it would be nice to see some NWOBHM reviewed, and Satan is certainly included in the NWOBHM review queue. I've been on a bit of a listening spree with Diamond Head, Blitzkrieg, and Witchfinder General lately, among others.

Well, I love NWOBHM, including Satan and all the other bands mentioned in this thread.

Yes, I consider Court in the Act to be a classic, and it is on my list of archives/classics to review.

However, our primary function is to cover new material that is sent to us. If/when I get caught up on my new material (autumn is the busiest time for new releases, so I won't be caught up anytime soon), I'll reach into my CD cabinet for an older album to review.

As for older cd's, I like to review great old material that seems to be overlooked by most metalheads (Satan is one of these bands). However, I've come to realize that reviewing a well known classic that everyone has heard of and owns is pretty close to a waste of time unless there's no new material available to review. If everyone has heard an album and knows it very well, what's the point of a review?

Oh, I forgot to mention...

We used to have a reviewer who focused exclusively on archive/classics.

Unfortunately, he just kinda disappeared on us  . Dependable people are hard to find .

Well since this website has a lot of fans of "newer" metal, maybe by doing a review of this much over looked album fans of the more mainstream and watered down metal would see what influenced their bands and renew interest in these types of bands. This album in particular is not very well know, all I'm trying to do is get it the attention if deserves.

By doing a classic review of it, and I think Aaron was on to something, by putting a yousendit link of the album up people would be able to download it and see what all the fuss is about. I realize its hard to find, but thats no excuse. When I heard Trial by Fire I was consumed by the desire to find the album for the next month or so.

So it needs to be done, people need to know about this album.

Before I heard "Court in the Act," I thought Blind Guardian's version was the original.

If it makes you feel any better, for a little while I thought "The Final Countdown" was written by Dispatched.

And Korn wrote "Another brick in the wall".

...

maybe not, then!

Maybe not, but Limp Bizkit definitely wrote "Behind Blue Eyes"!
