God, I played that album to death to the point where I got sick of it. I need to take a year off from listening to it or something. Still, a modern classic, no doubt.
NP:
Pretty standard brutal death metal with a small amount of deathcore influence. Dem riffs are smooth as buttah though. |

First half is pretty pedestrian shit with some good moments, but the second half is like they hit their stride. That, and they mix a nice blend of old Kreator with old Sepultura. |

Purposeful riffing, good structure, strong melodies, atmospheric. It's good stuff! |

I agree completely with the Immolation statement. I think i enjoyed tracks 3-5 the most on that album... That is also my favorite slayer album... It must have been a good weekend with that music being the soundtrack! |

Very good weekend indeed.
To add a quirk in though - I went to the theatre and watched Jesus Christ Superstar. Very good production and some of the singers were amazing.
Slayer + Immolation + Jesus Christ Superstar =

Just finished listening to:
Love this album. Shame they turned to crap in more recent times. |

That's a great Iced Earth album. Last Laugh, A Question of Heaven and Violate are three of my all time favourite IE songs.
I'm going to see them in April! Been waiting a whole 12 years for them to come to Australia. About bloody time! |
