Metalhammer is streaming the new Disturbed album. Sounds promising. The title track is a modern thrash anthem. I did say "modern" so this isn't "real" thrash, more like if Trivium was a hard rock band with David Draiman on vocals. Honestly, the songs seems faster than what they have produced before. A lot of psuedo half-thrash riffing. There are solos and lots of melody. Draiman singing is good too. Good stuff.. check it out for yourselves.

I feel it's their best since 'Believe'.

I used to really like this band's debut and the follow up. I dl'd the last two album but haven't even listened to them. I guess I'll continue the trend. Time will tell if I actually listen to this one.

Naw man, just enjoy it for what it is.

I have enjoyed Disturbed over the years, but has anyone actually caught them live? Every video clip I have seen is pretty shitty, mainly cause the singer just sounds bad.

I've seen them at graspop. I just came from Amon Amarth I think and Disturbed was playing on the main stage. I've always enjoyed their music so I decided to hang around for a while. What a waste of my time that was. They're really bad in a live setting.

Yep, thats what I figured. Ill just stick to listening to them while playing Madden. Hmmm, and now "Madden Metal" is born!

It's just Draiman though, he's just not a great singer. The band did what they have to do, but nothing more.

True enough. I like that the guitarist has been able to expand his style with each album. Some bands are just studio bands.
