Hah! Who are you to call out anyone as an asshole?

Elitist turds doesn't shit all over bands for being unoriginal by the way. At least I don't. I'd rather have them unoriginal than them dicking around with experimental crap and trying to be something they're not.

When it comes to Helloween, I never cared for much of their newer stuff. I find it pretty damn bland to be honest.

It is pretty damn bland. Just because it's heavier doesnt mean it's better. Nocturnal Rites was better when they had weaker guitar tone.

I'm so happy I wandered over here and got to see the Ken/HT knuckleduster. That, plus Rhys's avatar....could the day get any better!

The video for Are You Metal? is officially up on Youtube: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0CBsQtwIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D4vo7iHYyjP8&ei=jMq8TMuPAormnAeI3_TSBw&usg=AFQjCNHdO4mfhyfbszOZOEyBkk7YvPzc-Q

I must say, they weren't kidding when they said the new album would be the fastest and heaviest of their entire career. But you know what I find strange? Seven years ago, Weikath was complaining about how The Dark Ride was too dark and depressing. But just four years later, Helloween reverted back to that style on Gambling With The Devil. And it sounds like 7 Sinners will be even darker and more punishing.

Great song? Really? I though it was crap and hated it wholeheartedly. And auto-tune...Deris, please cut the crap and leave it to Cher and T-Pain.

There has been a disturbing trend of this in metal lately.

And I agree, this song was heavy, but not necessarily good.

I've enjoyed everything Helloween has done except for Chameleon and that godawful 25th Anniversary album, and this is no exception. Cool riffs, catchy vocals, killer solo. Also, I really want that Dean Caddy twin guitar in the video.

Where's the autotune though? I listened through twice trying to spot it, but it just sounds like the same ol' Deris to me.

I always was an in between Helloween fan (like some albums , don't like some others) but this album fucking rules. Heavy , catchy , melodic and not too "happy happy".

The Dark Ride is my favorite Helloween album but 7 sinners is on his way to top it. A contender for my power metal album of the year along with At The Edge Of Time.

There is no auto-tune. "Auto-tune" is the new insult word for fans to sling around. But most have no idea what auto-tune is. Kind of like all the dummies bitching about Jon Schaffer's "triplets," when he's not fucking playing triplets.

Basically, there are a lot of dummies out there, and 7 Sinner kicks fucking ass. Flute solo? Fuck yeah!

This wouldn't be the first time Helloween incorporated flutes into their music. They also had a brief flute solo in Nothing To Say (from Rabbit Don't Come Easy).

Anyway, I'll be sure to listen to this album within the next couple weeks or so.

This is definately heavier than most of their output, but that doesnt necessarily make it good. Walls of Jericho was really heavy as well but had good song writing to compliment it. This, sadly, sounds far too generic. Technical skill and heaviness are all fine and good, but imagination and creativity are what make a band special and Helloween is no longer "special" in this regard.

I just heard the flute solo this morning in Raise the Noise. Kicks ass. What a monster song. One of Helloween's best ever. Still digesting the album - but VERY impressed with the first half so far. Wow.

You're both wrong. Autotune does two things. Makes you sound like a robot and corrects sound to pitch. There is nothing to hear when the latter is used because it should be silently operating. A lot of people use it unfortunately.
