| Thx for the recommendation Zad, this is extremely good indeed, this is my fav type of BM. In some parts, ID reminds me of their fellow countrymate Coldworld, just a little heavier. They really have taken the best from all eras of BM. I really need to check their first album. What this album lacked to be a masterpiece?? In your review you praised the music to the heavens... |

Well, it's great but it doesn't really push the boundaries, does it? As I said in the review, this sort of Black Metal does exist, and whilst it's been done excellently here, I prefer to keep 90+ scores for albums that really break boundaries or are just so jawdroppingly good that no other score is fair. As good as Procella Vadens is, I don't think it's quite a >90 album.
This opinion could change over time, of course, heh. Glad y'all like it, anyways. _________________ |

| I saw the artwork somewhere and thought it was super cool, then decided I'm not shallow enough to listen to something because of a picture so I passed. Man was I mistaken. This is one of the beast stuff I've heard in a while. Black metal done the right way, nothing more or less. |

I tend to think that a band's ability to choose or create a cool album cover says something about their taste in general. |

| I really like this album. I've spun it repeatedly throughout the year and it'll probably make my end of the year list. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't so far. |

| I like this album. Although, I don't think it deserves such a high score. I would score it more in the high end 70's. Personal opinion I suppose. |

| After a few listens I must say that this is truly excellent stuff. Something wasn't clicking the first few times I played it on youtube that is, but now, it all came together. This how BM should be, melancholic and multidimensional. The Germans reign supreme in Blekk Metall. The score as always seems to be spot on. |

Earlier me is totally right on all accounts. A La Nuit Tombante is fucking beautiful. The black metal here really straddles that line of being atmospheric while not being boring, like newer Drudkh has kinda devolved into. Great song structure and just really solid riffs.
I'm really excited for their new album to come out in the next few months. |

| After giving this album much of my time over the last few days I have to say that the score is accurate. I can listen to it from start to finish without getting bored and finding elements in each track that I look forward to. My favorites would have to be Lacrimae Mundi, A Million Moons, An Autumn Serenade, and the title track Procella Vadens...Even though like I stated the whole album is great. I read elsewhere that their other C.D.'s are better.. This being my only experience with the band, Do you guys feel that this is their best or are their better examples in their discography? |
