can't believe what you just wrote... so, okay, I respect your opinion though I think it's full of shit ! Ozzy Slays Ronnie anytime when talking about their Black Sabbath works

same goes with the solo careers anyway... from Ozzy I love Blizzard of Ozz, but all the other albums are pretty good... Dio has a classic album too (Holy Diver of course) but a lot of shitty albums from Sacred Heart ( ) to Killing The Dragon there's hardly one song I find up to his previous career... plus Ozzy doesn't need to pretend he slays the dragon to be a true good performer... Ozzy looks weird on stage, kinda like a Bear, and does silly moves with his arms but he owns the place !!!

one last thing, imo, the best Dio ever did was with Rainbow & particullary on "On Stage" which is simply one of the five greatest live albums in the rock history (yeah ! not just metal !)... for this I'll always be grateful !

Wow what a bunch of lopsided bullshit. Dio is better in every way possible than Ozzy, no question about it. And when did Dio pretend that he slays a dragon? It is just a song. But Ozzy does make good pretention that he is Back on Earth (awesome song by the way)

so I guess you haven't seen Dio on stage in the 80's... I did ! on one tour (maybe Sacred Heart) it did slay a latex dragon on stage with an alluminium sword, so impressive ! then on the next tour he teamed with Craig Goldie in order to slaughter a (latex again) spider.... I guess, since I haven't seen in him a long time that he doesn't do it anymore bu he certainly used to !

I saw him live like 4 times in the last 4 years and he didn't do anything like it.

i think he can't afford it anymore... his concerts were large budget spectacles then... Dio was a Star! now, he remains a great singer but with less popularity.... Well, it was fun, teenager fun but I was a teenager then... haven't seen him after the Lock up The Wolves tour since my metal tastes evolved to more extreme music...

I bet he can afford it, but just thinks it is too silly now.

I also think that Dio is better than Ozzy, better singer and better songwritter.but for me blizard of oz comes equal with holy diver, both masterpieces, and better doesnt mean that ozzy is crap, and the same goes for their black sabath era, Paranoid=Heaven and hell. but paranoid and sabath bloody sabath are way better than Dehumanizer.

Browsing the Dio reviews and I'm going to bring this back to the top.

Dio > Ozzy

Would you guess Ronnie was almost 10 years older? No way. Model pro. Ozzy's entire career is built on the brilliance of his three Sabbath bandmates. His shitty voice works very well in Sabbath, but it's still at the end of the day a shitty voice.

DIO > Ozzy

Totaly agree with you man. Dio was brilliant in Sabbath. Ever since I got into metal/hard rock I have been trying to stomach Ozzy's voice, but I still to this day can not stand it.

Yep, I don't claim to know much about either of them but from what I've heard Dio beats Ozzy any day.

I can't concur with that completely, I far prefer the pre-Dio Sabbath days.

Sabbath Ozzy > Sabbath Dio

however,

Dio now > Ozzy now

Ozzy can easily rectify this situation by pushing Sharon out of an airplane though.

I am in disagreeance with that. I'll take Dio/Tony Martin Sabbath over Ozzy Sabbath any day.

And Dio's solo career, of course, completely shits all over Ozzy's.

Ozzy has a pretty cool and unique voice and singing style(so does Dio), but he is nowhere near the metal God Ronnie.
