| I thought having such a thread would help everyone looking for any sort of genre. Instead of making separate threads for every inquiry, this thread will be helpful in any specific request for anyone and everyone. |

| Looking for some excellent Black/Thrash in the veins of Destroyer 666. Melodic/Romantic/Melancholic/Dramatic and of course heavy. Cheers! |

Thanks, Kyle. But I know all of them. All of them very legitimate and relevant to what I asked for. |

Don't know if it's quite Destroyer 666 quality but here:
The Batallion
The Crown
Sauron

Midnight - Satanic Majesty
It has a delightful old school thrash'n'roll vibe to it. |

| Would like 2-3 bands to check out in the same vein as Taake and Helheim. |

Hmmm... Taake is pretty unique for what they are. I would try some Ragnarok. Great sense of melody? Try old Arcturus. First album and demo. Also Sargiest's last album. Drudkh - Blood in Our Wells, The Swan Road. Noktrurnal Mortum - Lunar Poetry. |

Familiar with Drudkh, and quite like them as well as Altar of Plagues and Wolves in the Throne Room. The post-rock influence compels me. Will check out the rest and get back to you. I'm picky as hell, so I hope one or two gets through |

I second Lunar Aurora.
EDIT: Arcturus won't disappoint. |

Try FoF, it's warm and epic as Taake. If you don't mind postrock/shoegaze influences, try Gallowbraid ep. Or Nasheim split. |

Ash Borer's s/t is where it's at or even Deafheaven's Road to Judah. _________________ http://www.last.fm/user/traptunderice |

Ash Boring doesn't have the sense of melody and epicness Thomas is looking for, but this does:
