SHE CRIES - DAM

Hahahahaha....Just kidding.
Seriously, sounds good. In all honesty, the sound quality is a lot better than many demos we've received! Did you play it with one hand?

Hell yeah! C.O.T.M. baby!

OK, this here little ditty is a track that a friend and I are working on. I did none of this music, he did it all, the man is a fucking genius. I am currently trying to find a vocal melody for the fast thrashy part, but I am drawing blanks on anything that really fits. The rest of the vocals are written and mapped out.

SELLING THE INFECTION - 9:59 PM (SLEEP) (Vol. 2 MP3 taken down, PM me if interested in it)

Please save and download, don't stream this file, or I'll have to put it on Yousendit, or Cocksuckits, or whatever.

I got the title of the project from the In Flames song "Only For The Weak." I always thought he said "selling the infection" but when I finally read the lyrics and saw it was "sell me the infection" I kind of dug on the name and kept it. The lyrics are about waiting to make decisions and later regretting that you didn't act sooner. My ex-girlfriend and I have know each other for 14 years, we dated in high school, first "everythings," etc. Well, we tried dating again in 2001, we broke up this past April. We could never work through anything, even the littlest, dumbest things. She would never talk about anything, and every time 10pm rolled around that was it. Time for bed. I used to always say "Uh oh, it's 9:59pm, problem solved."

We're not getting along very well right now. After being the best of friends for so long, we now can hardly stand each other simply because we have too many regrets, thus animosity and anger towards each other. It sucks and saddens me to no end EVERY day that goes by. This song is—in a roundabout way—about that, but more universal in its message. It's gonna be a killer fucking tune!

Indeed, it is. It's going to be an awesome song if I can figure out a melody for that fast part. I'm thinking of trying a Devin Townsend approach, sort of like what he did on "Oh My Fucking God." We'll see.

Diggit! Maybe I'll record what I've already figured out and post an unfinished version soon?

OK, so I hooked up my shitty MySpace page with some tunes. First, the System Of A Down cover from my SHE CRIES project, which you've heard.

Here's the funny stuff. Between 2000 and 2002 while I was stationed in England I couldn't find any bands to play in, so I bought a Boss BR8 and just started recording demos. Well, at one point I came across this rap contest online, you download three beats, pick one and record a song. I did. I churned out a gem called "Those Crazy Hoes." It was a party favorite, but I never submitted it. Anyway, it was so easy I then proceeded to record a few more. Some stupid like "Those Crazy Hoes," some not so. Either way, totally not metal, but I did a good job, I think. My default rap name was EYESORE because...well...I don't know, KENNY 2 FRESH was taken or something.

One song is called "Waiting To Die," the lyrics are personal, but since I spent very little time writing them they're somewhat trite and vapid in spots. Overall, good tune for Kid Rock. The other rap song is called "Enemy," and it's kind of heavy, some of you may actually dig it. I do a little screaming in it. Anyway, there's a story behind it, which I think makes the song better if you know. I'll post that at the bottom if you want to read it, along with the lyrics (which are pretty bad). The beginning spoken word bit is just one-take nonsense, I made it up as I went. It's pretty stupid. I added the "muthafucka" bit to the end after my voice was shot from screaming with no warm-up, so it's a bit unsteady, but I wasn't going for the perfect recording, just a big FUCK YOU! I was fucking angry...yo! Hahaha. I think it turned out well.

The last track is actually two that I just spliced together the other night (you'll hear the splice). In 2001, a friend and I decided to write an album based on our exploits in Korea (thus the lyrics will make little sense to you). It was going to be a fun, stupid punk album that we would send out to everyone we knew while in Korea and even send some copies back to the club owners we knew. We called it MOPP 4, it is a military term used to describe chemical protective gear used in a toxic chemical environment during a chemical or biological strike. It stands for Mission Oriented Protective Posture, the higher the level the more chem gear you wear. Fitting, I guess, for a punk band name.

Unfortunately we wrote songs, demo'd them and then had a falling out (which resulted in "Enemy" on my end, see the story below). The songs were all written very quickly without much thought involved, the lyrics are extremely juvenile. He wrote 5 songs, I wrote 12, these are the first two I wrote. The songs here are "Bounce" and "Juicy Party," they were to be track 1 and 2 on the CD. I fucking love these songs, too bad they'll never be recorded for real (I think).

Check them out here: http://www.myspace.com/goodpigbadpig

Flame away, hahahahaha!

Now, for those interested, here is the story behind "Enemy." It all started with these chicks:

LESLIE AND CORTNEY DRINKING BEER
LESLIE AND CORTNEY DANCING...OR SOMETHING

They set the tone. Anyway, this all happened in Korea in 2000. My roommate and I had become really good friends, then he found out his wife was cheating on him on Christmas morning when he called at 6am and no one answered. He interrogated his wife later and found out. He was devestated and instantly pussified (understandably). He cried all the time, moped around, drank and broke things...always whilst crying. I even walked in on him one day with the butt of an M-16 on the ground and his head resting on the barrel. Now, these guns were for exercise purposes only, shot blanks like metalNESS, and had a blasting cap on the tip, but had he pulled that trigger the kickback would have shattered his skull easily, and quite possibly killed him. Anyway, I was able to get the gun from him, so it was all good.

Then he recovers a bit, but starts looking for the replacement girl and starts falling in love with every chick on base. It was ridiculous. Any time I hooked up with a chick (Korea was my manwhore year, well, 6 months of it anyway), or a chick flirted with me, he cried and got jealous. "Oh, I'm so ugly! You're so much better looking than me and my crooked chin, waaaah!" Shit like that. Supervisors started taking notice and were actually contemplating discharging him from the Air Force for mental heath issues. Then one night he got into a fight after he flipped out when he walked in on me...with...uh...(see above)...because he loved them. Well, I lied for him after that fight so he wouldn't get kicked out of the Air Force, he had a daughter, I felt bad. So what does he do? He breaks down and tattles on me! Not only that, he told on me like 5 hours before I was to meet my commander about the whole thing. He never warned me and allowed me to go in there and lie! They even read me my rights, I thought they were bluffing, so I still lied. I eventually had to come clean, and I got an Article 15 for lying to my commander. An Article 15 is one step away from a Court Martial. I forgave him.

So anyway, we were in a cover band called RUN DMZ there, so after we left and we continued to make music together via the net. That's how MOPP 4 came about. He came to England from Italy to record some tunes on weekend, he got frustrated with me because I kept telling him he was messing up certain vocal lines (which he was), so when we eventually sent out an MP3 of a song we'd recorded to all our friends I said in the e-mail that "some of the vocals are a bit messed up, but it's a demo so it's all good." Well, his pussified, sensitive ass flipped out because he assumed I was talking about his vocals (I wasn't), he hit REPLY ALL and sent back this e-mail cussing me out, calling me self-righteous and all kinds off nonsense. I was pissed, especially after all I'd done for him. It hurt because I genuinely loved this dude like a brother. He was my...uh...homey. And he said some mean shit about me, but he said it to like 50 people! :(

I waited a day or two and figured I'd calm down, but I was still pissed, so I wrote and recorded this quick little ditty called "Enemy," put it on MP3, opened that e-mail, hit REPLY ALL and said, "Here's what I have to say about that, asshole!"

Sadly, after a while we started speaking again, but it was never the same, too much damage was done. We're not enemies anymore, I'd say, but not nearly as close. It's very sad what people will do sometimes, especially to people who've done so much for them.

I think you can understand the lyrics to all the songs, but here are the lyrics to "Enemy" (because they're a good read):

ENEMY

Who’s gonna there next time,
When you put that gun to your head,
When you’re standing up on that ledge?
Who’s gonna listen to you cry,
When you realize your mistakes,
When you see that you’re a fake?
What then?

“Sometimes in life, you’ve got to burn bridges, and other times they’re burned for you.
One thing they will never understand and never comprehend: The harder you hit, the
higher I rise. The harder you hit! The higher I rise! So here’s to friendship, here’s to
betrayal! Unity? Fuck unity! Here’s the truth!”

I was there for you when your wife was cheating and ruined your whole world
I was there for you when some other guy was being a dad to your girl
I was there for you when you liked someone and they always turned you down
I was there for you when you’d cry like a baby ‘cause no one wanted you around
Maybe I should have left you when you put that gun to your head
Maybe life would be much better if you were lying there dead
You tell me now that I’m to blame because I know about life
Maybe I should have been a friend just like your slutty wife
Like when she was fucking with that other guy in the bed that you made
Right in the living room where you and your daughter once played
But now I see

You were never
Never a true friend to me
And you never
Never had respect for me
You were never
Never a true friend to me
Boy, you lost when you made me the enemy

I saw your darkest hour, tried to ease your pain
I stood by my friend when he went insane
I even lied for you to protect your career
To support your family, to ease your fear
But you broke down crying and you ratted me out
And I learned first hand what you’re all about
But I gave you a chance because I felt your pain
I’ve known that weakness when you’ve been betrayed
I know what it’s like to have low self-esteem
I know what it’s like to have it steal your dreams
But you didn’t care, and you failed to see
You were describing yourself when you were blaming me
For all these things that I didn’t do
While you believe your lies and run from the truth
That I was the one to extend my hand
I was the crutch when you could not stand
Like when you felt your daughter hated you and you wanted to die
I sat there screaming to get through to you, you’re believing a lie
But now I see

You were never
Never a true friend to me
And you never
Never had respect for me
You were never
Never a true friend to me
Boy, you lost when you made me the enemy

You were never
Never a true friend to me
You betrayed yourself when you made me the enemy

Yes, but it was more comedy than anything. My performance was severely impacted by my fear that my roommate was going to walk in—which he did—and the fact the one I was dating was saying some hilariously nasty things that kept making me laugh and lose focus.

One's evil, and one's an angel. Damn, you should be making porn films. Heroic air force man gets a couple in before his big dangerous mission....
