Well I keep seeing people divide on Elements 1.You have those that thought it was too symphonic and you have those that actually like the choirs and the orchestrated arrangements so where do you lie.
I think it's a good album.I like songs like Soul Of A Vagabond and the title track there is some good stuff there. |

| I like the album. A bit over the top, but it's different for Strato, thus I can appreciate it. It's not my favorite by them, but it's definitely a good CD. |

| It's definatly not a bad CD, but it could have done better. One main problem is that Strato take themselves too seriously sometimes. |

I voted good. Three of my favorite Strato songs are one that album, "Learning to Fly," "Eagleheart," and the best track "Find Your Own Voice."
Edit: My home town is Papillion. I like the song regardless of the name though. |

| As metalNESS stated there are a few great songs there, it's definitely better than Pt.2. But still something that I can't even explain could have been better, just the overall feeling I guess. Maybe my expectations were just a bit too big. |

Voted the 3rd option. It's worse than Elements 2, but even that album wasn't that good.Just the other day i've ordered the 2 albums (for the price of one, of course). The Elements albums have always been on my TO BUY list, but i felt that individually they weren't complete and something was missing. The ability to complement each other is what makes these albums great.I think that was the original idea for the Strato team when they began making the albums anyway.
I'd take their older albums over these two anytime. |

You really need to get some of their older stuff man.
As MetalStorm said, Get Visions, then Episode, then Fourth Dimension, and then Destiny. In that order to. Visions is by far their best IMO. |

I like this album, but still picked the 3rd option as i think it could have been better.
My favourite tracks include Vagabond, Eagleheart, Learning To Fly & Find Your Own Voice. |

Strangely enough I was listening to this album today.
I'm taking the third option because of the lack of consistency. There are some killer tracks on show, but too much is either throwaway or just plain ridiculous. I mean, the first half of Fantasia? Ouch. |

| This is actually one of my favorite Stratovarius albums, I think they were getting better and better after Visions with Destiny and Infinity. Elements II is completely pointless though, it has the smell of "recycled material" all over it. But Elements I is the one album by Stratovarius I probably listen most frequently too. There are several good songs here, Soul of a Vagabond being the best in my opinion. |

| Yeah, I know I should check out older material, I've been meaning to, but the stuff I have heard by them has been so unspectacular that I just dont feel like it sometimes. But I will check them out or at least try. |

| I liked it, untill I found out about their older albums, they completely own the new shit. Elements 1 was a lot better than 2 actually, which is why i voted option 3. |

| I like it. Nothing special, but better than part II and pretty good power metal. |

Seems like many many people detest the Elements, but I enjoyed the first one greatly. Love the epics on the album - Soul of a Vagabond, Elements, Fantasia, and the instrumental
I agree it's stronger than Part 2. Unfortunatly, with the hatred that seemed to spawn over those albums, I doubt we'll really see Tolkki write many more songs using choirs or symphonic type stuff - especially with Kotipelto not liking that direction either.
I think it's a good album, but like almost all the Stratovarius album's - there's always fillers on there that make me want to skip. And what's with the obession of 9 tracks...Infinite, Pt 1 and 2, the S/T. :( |
