Samples coming soon. I'm mixing as I type this and plan on recording a lot more. I shouldn't have too hard a time finding a high profile gig.
I want the job with Angra. Iced Earth or Yngwie Malmsteen are good choices too.
I'm going to seriously nail a few Ayreon songs tomorrow and with those recordings see if it is possible that Arjen would be willing to tour that band with a female singer added.
You guys think I'm joking. My voice is already in another league from anything you've heard from me and today was really the first day of recording it with any success. I guess one of Olaf Thorsen's mental institution angels followed me home. |
Don't ever change. |

Hate to break it to you but Iced Earth and YJM are taken. |

the singer spot with YJM can change rapidly, though.
Adveser, ever thought of starting your own band? It sure is more work than joining (or failing at) an already reknown formation but it might as well be more rewarding, creatively speaking. |

True but Malmsteen is very selective when it comes to his vocalists. I doubt seriously he's going to pick up some rookie with no experience.

Agreed with this. Nothing like starting a new band plus you can do things your heart desires instead of being restricted by other bands requirements. |

True. Malmsteen is looking for a name to help him sell sub-par and misproduced albums. |

You guys are really silly. Everyone knows I shall join Vision Divine and become Fabio's apprentice. I personally think Olaf is my guardian angel and all his singers were chosen specifically for me to copy their voices and take it to an extreme level once all three of their very distinct and differently colored voices. His albums wrote that story, I am not making this up. I think I can get the gig if the singing is better and more versatile than Fabio, Michele and Rob combined. I'll just tell him I am the crazy man who saw beyond the veil and saw the colors of his world. I shall then teach the masters my secrets and the sheer insanity of the vocal performances will result in a New Era for heavy metal. Think Trans Siberian Orchestra in broad appeal, but with the attendance figures of a 1985 Whitesnake concert.

Hey, it's a cool story at least and makes the music personal for me, so piss on it if you want. I am certain the bands would be overjoyed to hear they have changed a life, saved a life and given the most cynical anti-spiritual person faith and hope. Anyway, I will prove I can sing anything shortly enough. Got about 50 samples I have to mash together into 30 second per song medleys.

Is this easy shit what everybody is ejaculating over? Even when the Swedes are good, it's still child's play compared to the Italians.

And what's the deal with no one following the epic Labyrinth/Vision divine narrative when people seem to know every nook and cranny of the rhapsody storyline? Oh NM you still haven't figured out the Ayreon storyline. |

You guys were right. That did suck. Wasn't quite digging deep enough. I'm listening to the playback of "pure" and the technique is about right now. Thanks for the heads up and keeping on my toes everybody. I have a hundred tracks or more to mix and now I know what to listen for.
I've said this before but my responses and general attitude elicit the appropriate response and I don't say thanks enough for everyone's help and tolerance of the abrassiveness I sometimes portray. |
