Fuck yeah you do. But start with either the self-titled or Transcendence. People tend to shit on Strange And Beautiful and Astronomica, but I don't think they're that bad at all. They are different, however.
Anyway, looking forward to what this band does without Geoff. I think it's been clear for a long time that the other guys have been unhappy in the band. It'd be nice to get an album somewhat closer to the older stuff. |
First two albums of Crimson Glory are timeless pieces of music. Midnight was awesome back in the day. |
He sure was. He could go toe to toe with Dickinson,Halford and early Queensryche Tate.
The first 2 CG albums are blueprints for what good ol fashion prog metal are |

You know something I'm glad they kicked his sorry ass out. He stated that rock and metal are dead in several interviews and he let his voice deteriorate over time without so much of taking care of it. He's a shell of his former self so it was only wise to bring in a new singer that can carry on the Queensryche legacy without it sinking.
Now if he still had his trademark voice than I'd agree but overall this is what needs to be done.
And now I'm actually excited for a new Queensryche album. |

Yeah, guess I should have noted that Todd didn't sing on any Crimson Glory albums. Haha.
In fact, what has the guy done? |

Taken from Todd's Facebook:
"I am not a "former member" of Crimson Glory. Both bands are fully aware of my involvement. Crimson Glory is still alive and well, and we are continuing to write material for the new record. Queensryche enters a new chapter, buckle up."
A new CG album, that should be interesting. Apart from that, it seems the guy hasn't recorded anything important. |

Oh
Anyway, I listened to a few tracks on youtube and they sounded killer. Gonna grab the albums.

Yeah I get that and I definitely think it's for the better. I had lost any interest in Queensryche and this got me excited again... Even so, QR without Tate or DeGarmo is just so.... I don't know, it'd be like Metallica touring without Hetfield and Ulrich - they could probably get a way better drummer and find a guy who can still rip it like Hetfield in his youth but it just isn't the same. |

Right, but he's only been in Crimson Glory for a short time. And they've done no albums with him yet. What else has he done? |

Apparently nothing, I couldn't find any info. |

Yeah, quite, because he's a hell of a singer. My hopes are high with him in both CG and QR. Still, QR without Tate and de Garmo will be pretty weird |

| Yeah, Degarmo and Tate were the biggest contributors musically. Mostly Tate since DeGarmo left. It'll be interesting to see what they do next. |

Here we go:

Demo clips from Todd's solo album that'll likely never see the light of day now. Haha. If he wrote that music, though (it does say he's a "multi-instrumentalist"), then I'm even more intrigued now. Sounds like he's got some skills. |

| Saw that. I imagine there is some truth to it, but it's definitely not entirely true. An entire band save for one doesn't make such drastic decisions if everything is that cut and dried. |

| I've heard some clips of De La Torre singing material from Warning and the bands EP and I can think of no better man to front the band other than him. Tate lost the plot a long time ago, and I'm glad to see Ryche wants to play the heavy. material from the bands past. |

Wow........
My only question is, Tate threw this guy around a room for 15 minutes and he let him? |
