Am I the only one who would be interested in these? The obvious mentions are bands like Black Flag, Bad Brains and Misfits but even recents bands like Orchid, pageninetynine, Enabler, Trapped Under Ice, No Warning, Black Dove and Turnstile should appeal to people here. I don't know if any reviewers would be interested in these or if other people would even read them. Just curious. _________________ http://www.last.fm/user/traptunderice |

I reviewed some hardcore the other week, didn't exactly get a big response. Not from any of the bands mentioned... maybe. Not a priority for me, though. _________________ |

I'm not into a lot of recent Hardcore, with the exception of At the Drive-In (are they hardcore or post hardcore and what does that even mean?). Mostly because what I've heard reflects what I don't like about this modern "core" stuff.
I'm alright with this if it leads to discovering bands that are "hardcore" in Black Flag and Minor Threat terms, because I'm as close-minded as possible when it comes to what is "punk" and what isn't. |

I think we need more. I'd like to see your guys' take on, say, Sick Of It All's "Blood, Sweat and No Tears", or maybe something from a newer band, like Blacklisted or Trap Them.
Hardcore has a lot of influences from metal genres such as thrash, so I think it's something worth reviewing, even for a metal site. |

Must have missed them, sorry!
In any case, hardcore reviews have my complete support! |

I agree with this idea.
As stated before, we need a review of Sex Pistols "Never Mind The Bollocks" cause it is one of the most influential albums of all time in the metal world.
Also stuff like:
Agnostic Front
The Exploited
Sick of It All
Madball
Vision of Disorder
Black Flag
Dead Kennedies |

Why don't you go start a www.hardcorereviews.com then!
If you're going to do this then I demand a Circle Takes The Square review. |

If an hardcore album is related enough or had a real influence on metal, it should be reviewed here. The only exception is for the great classics. Any other Hardcore album doesn't belong in Metal Reviews.
I'd like to see Agnostic Front's One Voice reviewed by the way. It's crappily produced but is a powerful blast of NYHC with metallish guitars. |

| srs post: would like reviews of Gospel, Circle Takes the Square, pg. 99, Orchid, Akimbo, KEN Mode, Ghostlimb and other unreasonably angry music with distorted guitars that isn't necessarily metal. |
