Overrated. It's a great album, but I don't think it's their Magnum Opus. I reserve that label for Sabotage. Paranoid and Master of Reality are the two albums by them I listen to the least.

Totally opposite for me. Paranoid and Master of Reality are my favorites, and i don't like Sabotage at all.

is, by any change, Sabotage the first BS album you listened to ? I tend to have emotional attachment to first experiences with a band no matter if the album's that good or not...

and I still feel Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is their masterpiece ! 8)

The same thing hapens to me, and Sabotage is my favourite BS (Ozzy era).

Actually Paranoid was my first BS album! I just love the riffs on Sabotage, hence it gets top billing in my book. Just skip past that Am I Going Insane atrocity.

I've made no secret about my love for Tony Martin though. Those albums are my absolute favorites, but since we were discussing Ozzy era I wanted to stay on topic.

I do not consider this album to be a masterpiece, but certainly timeless.
